Suzanne Lorenz, L.C.S.W.

Suzanne is a licensed clinical social worker who has over 20 years experience in the helping profession. Her experience has been in helping clients through abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as recovery and treatment from substance abuse. In 2005 she joined Sam as Co-Director of Prevention Education Program. Suzanne currently has a private practice in Chico.

Sam Beasley, C.A.D.C.

Sam has over 20 years of experience working with and directing driving under the influence (DUI) and drug treatment programs. He has provided training and consulting services to agencies and to counselors throughout California. In 2005 he joined Suzanne as Co-Director of Prevention Education Program.

Sam and Suzanne provide training's and services to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health field.  They are authorized C.E.U. providers for California addiction counselors, and Suzanne can provide C.E.U's from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Sam and Suzanne have written a book for therapists and counselors entitled: Wealth and Well Being: How counselors and clients can break through the emotional barriers to financial independence, which is due to be published in 2009.

 

Susan Prescott, C.A.S.

Susan Prescott is a Certified Addiction Specialist who has been working in the social services field for 14 years. Her varied work experience includes helping homeless, recovering families transition to a home and community. After working at Prevention Education Program as a part-time counselor for many years, in June of 2008 Susan became the Program Manager.
